Today we have a look inside my custom MAC palette. A video to accompany this should be uploaded tomorrow morning, so I will link that here when it is up!
My MAC palette is actually filled with 10 MAC eyeshadows and 4 URBAN DECAY shadows. Urban Decay put out a similar (but not really at all) customizable palette that was not only dysfunctional, but completely over priced and quite frankly a scam. I have an entire rant/video on the subject that you can watch here.
So instead of putting my overpriced UD singles into their equally overpriced homes, I depotted them and stuck them into my MAC palette. It works for now.
ONWARD TO SWATCHES

Urban Decay's Green Goddess (discontinued)
Mac's Satin Taupe (frost)
Mac's Shale (velvet)
Mac's Sketch (velvet)
Do you use flash with these photos? I couldn't believe the swatches were actually for Bamboo, Malt, and Soft Brown because the colors in the pan seem so much lighter. Like I wouldn't buy Bamboo based on the picture of the pan, but I would based on the actual swatch.
ReplyDeleteHey kelly,
DeleteAll the photos were taken in natural light with no flash. The palette was sitting in the direct sunlight, so the colours in the pan might seem a little washed out, but the swatches (from what I can tell on my computer) are pretty much accurate to how thy look on the skin.
For the Urban Decay singles, did you depot the old ones that look like subway tokens? I can't figure out how to get them out without fucking up the whole eye shadow.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much did the same thing I did for the mac ones. Makeupgeek tv has a video on how to depot mac shadows and the old urban decay packaging works the same way. It's a little more difficult, but it still works.
