REVIEW: M.A.C "Warm Soul" Mineralized Blush

WARM SOUL MINERALIZED BLUSH
I know this blush won't be very new to many of you seeing as it's one of the most talked about M.A.C blushes (apart from the confusingly popular Well Dressed), but a fellow youtuber named Laura was kind enough to gift me this baby for Hanukkah this year.

The blush is honestly so beautiful and wearable that I thought it deserved a huge shout out.

SIDE NOTE: This is my first review using my Canon Rebel T3I. I am definitely not perfect at using it yet, so be kind! It's a lot to take in as someone who works mainly with a dinky little camcorder and her iPhone.

So the blush is a really pretty peach colour. When applied, it's more ruddy and warm toned, so it might not be the most flattering on those with really cool skin tones.

I am honestly not the biggest fan of shimmer in my blushes, but this colour just sweeps on so nicely and it's like a little pop of warmth and a subtle highlight all in one damn convenient step.

I get about 8 hours of wear with this blush. Not the longest, but I would expect that from something that wasn't matte.

Here it is on the cheeks. It's just a really pretty subtle peach color with a hint of shimmer.
(also please ignore how dry my skin is near my nose. WINTER STAHP)

Overall, if you're looking for a really wearable every day blush that's not too crazy and won't compete with a bright lip or eye look, this blush is your shit.

  2. Some constructive criticism: Clean the product up a little before shooting it (i.e. - take a damp paper towel to the makeup dust on the black edges/clear part of the compact). It will just be more aesthetically pleasing. I can't wait for you to start using your site more. I love your vlogs, but I can't get on YouTube at work (blocked), so it will be great to be able to come here to get my Rachel fix more often!

  3. I'm really liking the look of this on you! Very pretty and I like that it's not your average pink/red toned blush. Adds a lot more warmth, sort of like Gingerly! Hope I can try this out soon or at least see it in stores :)

ongrats on your new baby! Can't wait to read more :)
