Today's review is all about NCLA nail polishes. This is one of those brands I've never tried and have heard little about, so when they asked me to review two of their polishes (and one popped up in my latest PopSugar box) I was eager to review. The brand is based in California (clearly) and I've only been able to find them on their actual website.
The polishes come in square bottles with a pretty short and wide brush (similar to OPI's).
The first two polishes I have are from their Sweet Revenge collection.
Not So Sweet is a light baby pink cream.
The formula for this particular shade was my least favourite of the three, but still one of the best pastel creams I've tried in a long time. It was fully opaque with two coats and did not chip for a full 6 days of wear.
Mostly Sunny With a Chance of Sprinkles is a pale blue cream with navy sparkles.
This formula is by far the most incredible glitter nail polish formula I have ever tried (and that's even saying something considering my love for Zoya pixie dust). This applies smoothly as if there is no glitter at all, the glitter appears perfectly and is not smothered by the base colour, and you only need ONE FUCKING COAT! How insane is that? Like the above, this polish lasted about a week without chipping.
The next polish was from my July PopSugar Must Haves box.
As If is a pale lavender cream.
This polish was the thickest of the three, but still applied relatively smoothly and only truly needed one coat. (I added a second because I screwed up a few nails because I suck).
Overall, NCLA nail polishes are so nice! I am interested in trying more from them to see if there are more opaque with one coat polishes and other glitters that apply very easily. My only complaint is that they are $15 a pop, but at least they're not shitty!
-What's the best "high end" nail polish formula you've tried?
-More like Sunny With a Chance of HOLY SHIT LONG ASS NAME
